SMG has named Casey Sparks as general manager of BOK Center and Cox Business Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sparks, who most recently served as assistant general manager at the 10-year-old arena, is replacing Jeff Nickler, who left the arena last year.
Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynun said in a press release that Sparks had "done a tremendous job to elevate Tulsa as a place for internationally renowned concerts and events," while SMG regional vice president Thierry Gray said Sparks "is the perfect fit to lead both BOK Center and Cox Business Center," adding, “she's been integral to the success in Tulsa since day one and we are excited to see her continue Tulsa’s reputation for excellence.“
Sparks is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and began her career at the school's Colonial Life Arena before heading to the AT&T Center, then Red Light Management and later the Pensacola Bay Center in Florida. Sparks was part of the team that opened the BOK Center in 2008 where she helped host 184 events in the first 10 months of operation.
After moving to Charlottesville, Virginia, and later Florida for new opportunities, she returned to Tulsa in 2014 to serve as assistant general manager and oversaw all arena business operations relating to booking, event marketing, business development, event management, customer service, media relations, project management, premium seating and employee development.

Sparks will oversee over 100 full-time and 500 part-time employees at the BOK Center.
