Universal Music Group announced several executive management appointments in Asia on Monday (Jan. 7). Among the hires are Ang Kwee Tiang (KT Ang) as the svp of Asia public policy, Aaron Wang as the chief financial officer for Greater China, Tracy Mu as the finance director for Universal Music China, Yvonne Yuen as the svp of the marketing for Greater China, Sunny Chang as the chairman and ceo of Universal Music Greater China, and Elvin Eng as the cfo of the South East Asia region.
Adan Granite the executive vice president of market development for Universal Music Group spoke about the changes in a press release saying, "In order to maximize the opportunities for growth throughout these dynamic and fast evolving markets, we have expanded and bolstered our senior management teams within Greater China and throughout Asia to ensure that UMG remains at the forefront of industry change and innovation, breaking new talent and embracing new platforms and audiences, as the adoption of streaming through legal services continues to drive the growing music economy forward within the region.”
Warner Bros. Records announced hires to the media and communications team on Tuesday (Jan. 8). Aishah White wills serve as the svp of media and strategic development and Yashar Zadeh as the vice president. They will both report to Laura Swanson the company's evp of media and strategic development.

Vevo announced the hire of Kevin McGurn as the president of sales and distribution.
"Vevo has an amazing client proposition for premium music video in market, and expanding our reach through additional distribution partners will be key to increasing our global footprint and growing our revenue," said McGurn in a press release. "Having our content be accessible in key OTT and mobile viewing environments will ensure we continue to deliver real long term revenue streams for music videos. Our recent deal with the Amazon Echo Show device, is just one example of how we can create real value for our clients with our catalog, and as we kick off 2019 we are excited about other opportunities we can offer partners that complement our strong YouTube business.”

Banc of California Stadium Entertainment announced the hire of Jill Przelenski as vice president, special event sales on Monday (Jan. 7). She will report to Ryan Northcott the senior vice president of bookings.

"In this new role, I look forward to building first-class, one-of-a-kind events for our partners and clients, and playing a part in establishing the legacy of the best new live entertainment venue in Los Angeles."
Score a Score announced a New York City expansion on Monday (Jan. 7) lead by Brady Willis who will serve as the creative manager, business development. The company assists in licensing, music supervision and original music.
"Score a Score is one of the most innovative and exciting companies in licensing and original music right now and I couldn't be more thrilled to be amplifying their presence in New York," said Willis in a statement.
The Country Music Association announced the hire of Emily Arvanitis as the live events coordinator, Michelle Kirk as the director of integrated marking, and Megan Sykes as the director of sales development and strategy on Monday (Jan. 7). Arvanitis reports to Chris Crawford the CMA senior director of live events. Both Kirk and Sykes report to Emily Evans the company's senior director of strategic partnerships.
BBR Music Group announce the hire of Stan Marczweski as the director of national promotion for the label imprint Stoney Creek Records and Stefani Waters as the director of southeast regional promotion for Stoney Creek Records on Tuesday (Jan. 8).
"Stan’s tireless work effort, intensity and attention to detail made him the person we simply could not deny this position,” said Carson James, svp of promotion for BBR Music Group in a statement. “His success in the Midwest was never overlooked and has rightfully earned him the National position we’re proud to announce today!"

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced on Thursday (Jan. 10) the hire of Dawn Wayt as the museum's vice president of marketing and sales and the hire of Nwaka Onwusa as the museum's director of curatorial affairs. Wayt will begin on Jan. 28 and Onwusa will being on Jan. 14.
