‘His type on paper’: Love Island star Curtis’ ex girlfriend Emily Barker looks remarkably similar to new romantic interest Amy
Love Island viewers saw Curtis getting close to Amy during a sweet first date on Wednesday night’s episode.
And after telling his new romantic interest about his three year relationship with his former dance partner during their dinner date, it’s been revealed just how much Curtis’ ex looks like Amy.
Curtis, 23, and Emily, 22, were dance partners as children before reconnecting later in life professionally and beginning a romance which ended late last year.

Curtis’ Instagram page is still full of photos of blonde Emily, including one loved-up snap with the caption: ‘Home is to look into the eyes of someone you love’ @emilybarker123 #love.’
In an ITV interview ahead of his Love Island debut, Curtis explained he had had one long-term romance: ‘My ex-girlfriend was my dance partner. We danced with each other from when we were 12 until we were 14, we were the champions.
‘When we got older we got into a relationship. You spend a lot of time with each other when you’re dancing together. You’re always in a close proximity so it would be weird not to get feelings even if it’s just to be a best friend or if it’s to fall in love.’

Curtis insisted the relationship didn’t fall apart because of cheating, going onto explain: ‘I will be loyal. I have cheated before, but that isn’t why I split with that girlfriend. I will always be loyal from now on.’
Despite denying cheating was the cause of his split from Emily, 22, something clearly went very wrong for the pair which reportedly left her heartbroken – after over two years as a couple.
Their romance ended in late 2018, and Emily took to social media to mourn the doomed dalliance.

Emily went on a scorned liking spree of tweets, including: ‘Don’t feel sad over someone who gave up on you, feel sorry for them because they gave up on someone who would never have given up on them.’
Another read: ‘Stay strong. Even when it feels like everything is falling apart.’
A third read: ‘Instead of getting angry, just let go. You’re only hurting yourself if you don’t…’
Close: Curtis hasn’t wasted any time on Love Island, picking Amy as his match following a late arrival into the villa
The pair announced the split in January, not long after Curtis and his brother were involved in a bar brawl in their home town during the Christmas break.
The announcement in fact came via Curtis’ Dancing With The Stars celeb partner Holly Carpenter – who was Miss Ireland in 2011 – when she said in an interview that both she and Curtis were single.
Curtis hasn’t wasted any time on Love Island though, picking Amy as his match following a late arrival into the villa.
On Wednesday the smitten pair went on their first date, with Curtis telling the blonde about his ‘sheltered’ dating history.
